What is a HERS rating, and who performs one in Florida?
A HERS rating scores how energy efficient a home is on the HERS Index, where a lower number means a more efficient home. It is not a walk-through opinion. A RESNET Certified HERS Rater pairs on-site diagnostic testing with an energy model of the home, and the score comes out of both. In Florida, that rater is a credentialed professional, and I am one: RESNET Certified HERS Rater, RTIN 4516301.
