Wellington is an incorporated village that runs its own Building Division at the Wellington Municipal Complex on Forest Hill Boulevard, so village ground is the village's call, not the county's. Much of it sits in the Wind-Borne Debris Region, and the Equestrian Preserve Area, the horse country around Pierson Road and South Shore Boulevard, is made of private farms that each have an owner to ask. For the public side of any shoot, the Palm Beach County Film and Television Commission is the place to ask whether your crew needs a permit.
The Bell Farm is not in that jurisdiction. It sits at 16140 Okeechobee Blvd in Loxahatchee, which is mostly unincorporated Palm Beach County, so the county rather than the village is the office that matters. Wellington's gated communities, Binks Forest, Olympia, Versailles, the Isles at Wellington and Grand Isles among them, are built around Acme Improvement District canals and lakes and are governed by their own associations, so a shoot in one needs the association's say as well. At the farm there is one property and one conversation.
Wellington shoots also share its weather. Hurricane season runs June 1 to November 30, with storms on most summer afternoons, so we would plan morning calls from June through October and keep a rain day on the schedule, wherever you shoot.
There is no published day rate. We also haven't listed specifics on power hookups, permits, insurance riders or crew parking, so raise them on the call and we'll tell you plainly what the property can accommodate. This farm is also not the Bell Farm in Deltona, a separate, unrelated farm in central Florida; ours is the one in Palm Beach County.
A shoot often runs alongside a property that needs work, so if you are also in Wellington you may need construction help for a set, a barn or a home, a roofer ahead of storm season, association management if the location is a community, or land and site work if the ground needs preparing.

The Bell Farm is a working farm at 16140 Okeechobee Blvd in Loxahatchee, in western Palm Beach County, a short drive from Wellington. It has open farm ground and a hand-converted 1979 Blue Bird bus. Call (561) 779-3213 to talk through your shoot.
No. The farm is in Loxahatchee, FL 33470. Wellington is an incorporated village with its own Building Division at the Wellington Municipal Complex on Forest Hill Boulevard, separate from unincorporated Palm Beach County, so a shoot at the farm is planned with the county rather than the village.
That depends on where you stand and how big the crew is. Public streets, village parks and the Equestrian Preserve Area are not ours to approve, so ask the Village of Wellington and the Palm Beach County Film and Television Commission before you commit to a spot there.
Wellington's horse country is a working neighborhood of private farms and public roads, and access depends on each owner and on the village. At The Bell Farm the ground is ours to discuss with you directly, on one property with no neighbors in the frame.
There is no published day rate. Every shoot differs in scope, crew size and time on the property, so call (561) 779-3213 and we will talk about it directly.
It can. Hurricane season runs June 1 to November 30 and summer afternoons bring storms, so for those months plan a morning call and keep a rain day in the schedule. Much of Wellington sits in the Wind-Borne Debris Region, a reminder of how seriously the county takes the weather.
The farm has two farm-stay units, the Tiny Oasis and the Farm Cottage. The farm stay guide covers both and may suit a crew with an early call time.
