Roof Replacement · Jupiter, FL
Certified Roofing Contractor CCC1332751 · General Contractor CGC1528750
A new roof in Jupiter is permitted through the Town’s own Building Department and built to Wind-Borne Debris Region wind speeds, with fasteners and flashing chosen for salt air. Florida Certified Roofing Contractor CCC1332751 replaces tile, shingle and metal roofs here, and the owner inspects the work.

Tile, Shingle or Metal
Jupiter’s older coastal enclaves near the inlet and along the Loxahatchee River date to the 1970s and 80s, so many homes are on a second or third roof. Tile and shingle are the common residential coverings, with metal and flat or low-slope systems on commercial buildings, and the three behave differently. Tile is heavy, so the framing is checked before a tile quote is final. Asphalt shingle is lighter. Standing-seam metal is light and sheds wind-driven rain; our documented Jupiter roofing job is the 6,000 sq ft standing-seam PBR metal commercial roof replacement on the Goodyear Building, under CCC1332751.
We do not publish a count or percentage of any roof type, because no source we can stand behind gives one. What we recommend comes from your house, your exposure and what the inspection finds.
Permits & Wind Zone
Jupiter permits roofing through its Building Department at 210 Military Trail, using the online CDS portal for applications, plan review status and inspection scheduling. A licensed roofing contractor holds the permit and is present at final inspection. We confirm the permit-dated age of your roof, because Florida’s 25% rule is the ceiling on partial work: repair or replace more than 25% of the covering within 12 months and the whole system generally has to meet current code, unless the roof was built to the 2007 code or later.
Design wind speeds run roughly 160 to 175 mph, higher toward the ocean, and every layer of the roof needs a current Florida Product Approval for that exposure. Oceanfront lots and Loxahatchee River homes can fall under the Coastal Construction Control Line, which adds an engineering step ahead of the Town’s inspection; started before a storm it is a few extra weeks, started after one it can hold up a repair on a roof that is already open.
HOA Rules
Abacoa is deed-restricted with architectural standards on colour, material and elevation. Jonathan’s Landing and Admirals Cove run their own review boards, and communities such as Egret Landing, The Shores, Indian Creek and Maplewood may have their own. Roof material and colour are usually among the items a board reviews before a Town permit is filed, so we read the standard for your address and prepare the submittal. Jupiter Farms to the west is rural, on larger parcels with outbuildings, and sits beside our home base in Loxahatchee.
After the Re-Roof
A wind-mitigation inspection records the features your home has today: roof-deck attachment, secondary water barrier and opening protection. A re-roof changes them, so a new inspection afterward is what lets your insurer see the updated record. Our free wind-mitigation & energy walk-through is built into the estimate for exactly this reason. This is general information, not insurance advice, and we cannot promise any insurer’s response.

Questions, Answered
Yes. Jupiter is an incorporated town with its own Building Department at 210 Military Trail, separate from unincorporated Palm Beach County, and applications, plan review and inspections run through its online CDS portal. A licensed roofing contractor holds the permit and is present at final inspection. We pull the Town permit, submit the Florida Product Approval numbers and carry the roof through its inspections.
Jupiter sits in the Wind-Borne Debris Region, with design wind speeds of roughly 160 to 175 mph, higher toward the ocean. Every layer of the system, from underlayment to tile, shingle or metal panel and fasteners, needs a current Florida Product Approval for that exposure. Oceanfront lots and homes on the Loxahatchee River may also fall under Coastal Construction Control Line provisions, which add an engineering step before the Town will schedule inspection.
It depends on the house and the exposure. Concrete or clay tile is common on the Mediterranean-style and older coastal homes but is heavy, so we check the framing before promising a like-for-like tile roof. Asphalt shingle is lighter. Standing-seam metal is light, sheds wind-driven rain well and is what we installed on the 6,000 sq ft Goodyear Building roof in Jupiter. Near the water the fasteners and flashing matter as much as the covering, so we specify corrosion-resistant components.
Probably only through its architectural review. Abacoa is a deed-restricted traditional neighborhood development with standards on colour, material and elevation, and gated communities such as Jonathan's Landing and Admirals Cove run their own review boards. A like-for-like replacement is usually a simpler conversation than a visible change. We prepare the material and colour submittal and coordinate the HOA approval with the Town permit.
There is no single age that fits every roof; it depends on the material, the exposure and how the roof was installed. Salt air near the coast shortens the life of fasteners and flashing, and insurers commonly ask the age of the roof when they write or renew a policy. The honest answer comes from an inspection with dated photos, and sometimes the answer is a repair. We tell you which, in writing, and the estimate is free.

We do not publish a price for a roof, because the number follows the measured area, the pitch, the deck and the system you choose; ask for the scope in writing and compare what is included.
