Palm Springs, FL

📞 Call (561) 779-3213

Tree and stump removal in Palm Springs is a village-lot job: an oak leaning over a carport, a ficus lifting a slab, a condo-community tree that has to clear the board before it comes down. We drop the tree, then pull the stump whole with a Bobcat T740 and a 60" grapple, $1,385/day with an operator. Estimates are free.

Trees and Stumps on a Palm Springs Lot

Palm Springs is a small, built-out Village along the Lake Worth Corridor, so a tree call here is rarely a clearing job. It is one tree, close to a roof, a fence or a neighbour, on a lot that was platted long ago. Roughly two-thirds of the housing is single-family homes on individually owned lots, and the rest sits in condominium communities, which decides who has to say yes before a chainsaw starts. We take a tree down in sections where there is no room to fell it, keep the machine on the narrowest line that reaches the stump, and pull the stump whole with the grapple instead of leaving a grinder pit and a pile of chips.

The machine is a Bobcat T740 compact track loader with a 60" grapple, $1,385 a day with an operator, the one rate on this site, with no Palm Springs surcharge. Tell us the address, how many trees and whether the property is in an association, and the free estimate counts the days for your lot. (561) 779-3213.

The Palm Springs Tree Jobs We See
Four kinds of call. Naming yours when you phone is what turns "can you take out a tree" into a real number and a real day.
1 · The tree over the house
A mature oak, ficus or royal poinciana whose limbs hang over a roof or whose roots are lifting a driveway or a slab. Out in sections, stump pulled so the ground can be repaired.
2 · The condo-community tree
A tree in a common area or beside a unit in a community like Lake Clarke Gardens or Lakeside Village. The board signs off first; we schedule the work for after the approval, not before.
3 · Storm-fallen trees
Limbs and whole trees down after a hurricane or a squall line. Palm Springs sits in the 170 mph design-wind band, so June-to-November storm calls are real here. We cut, grapple and haul, and flag anything touching a power line for the utility first.
4 · Old stumps before a rebuild
A teardown lot with stumps left from an earlier removal, or a back yard that has to be level before a fence, pool or slab. Pulled whole, holes filled and graded.
The Permit Question in Palm Springs

Palm Springs is not unincorporated county land. The Village runs its own Planning, Zoning & Building Department at 226 Cypress Lane, with an online portal for applications, plan review and inspections, and that is a different office from the Palm Beach County Building Division that covers Loxahatchee and The Acreage. Whether a given tree needs a Village permit depends on the tree, the lot and what is being built, so we do not guess: before we book a removal we confirm with the Village whether a permit applies to your address.

A hazardous tree is worth raising early. Florida law (s. 163.045) limits what a local government can require for removing a tree on residential property when a certified arborist or a licensed landscape architect documents that it is a danger, so bring that paperwork to the Village rather than assuming a permit fight. Two protections apply on any lot whatever the Village says. A gopher tortoise burrow is protected under Florida law and has to go through the state wildlife agency's permitting process before a machine works near it; if one shows up we stop and say so. An active bird nest is also protected, which is one reason we look at a canopy before it is cut.

Condo Communities and Single-Family Lots

Lake Clarke Gardens, a 55+ condominium community, and Lakeside Village Condominiums are the two named communities where tree work most often meets an association. In both, written board approval for anything visible from outside a unit is the first step, and the Village permit question comes after it. A single-family lot elsewhere in the Village has no architectural-review layer, so the Village is the only sign-off. We ask which one you are on the first call because the schedule is different: an association can take weeks to answer and a single-family lot can be booked as soon as the Village confirms.

Drainage and Where the Debris Goes

A stump hole beside a canal bank, a swale or a drainage easement is a drainage question as well as a tree question. Canals in this part of the county typically belong to the Lake Worth Drainage District, and the Village handles local stormwater; a culvert or easement is infrastructure, not spare yard. We confirm who owns what at your lot before the machine goes near it, then backfill and shape the hole so it sheds water instead of holding it.

Debris leaves the lot with us unless you want the wood kept. The grapple loads trunks and stumps straight onto the truck, so the street is not left with a pile at the curb. Say on the call if you want logs left for firewood, and tell us the gate width and any overhead lines so the machine reaches the stump without crossing a neighbour's yard.

Where We Work in Palm Springs

We work across the Village, from the single-family streets to Lake Clarke Gardens and Lakeside Village. Our yard is at 16140 Okeechobee Blvd in Loxahatchee, and the T740 travels to the job on its own trailer. For clearing a whole lot rather than a few trees, see our Palm Springs land clearing page, and for shaping the ground after the stumps are out, Bobcat grading in Palm Springs. Credentials

Bell Land Services works under Bell Engineering and Construction Corporation, operating continuously since February 2009 and holding Florida Certified General Contractor CGC1528750, a state certification, and an EPA Lead-Safe Certified Firm (#NAT-F122701-2). We also hold a Palm Springs Business Tax Receipt, which is a local business tax registration and not a contractor licence. BBB A+ Accredited Business. Every job carries a written one-year workmanship warranty. We have no confirmed named Palm Springs tree project to point to, and we would rather say so than dress one up; the credentials above are what we can put in front of you, and the estimate is where they get tested against your actual lot.

Tree and Stump Removal in Palm Springs — FAQ

Do I need a permit to remove a tree in Palm Springs?

It depends on the tree and the lot. Palm Springs is an incorporated Village with its own Planning, Zoning & Building Department at 226 Cypress Lane, separate from the Palm Beach County Building Division, and we confirm with the Village whether a tree-removal permit applies to your address before we book. Florida law also limits what a local government can require for a residential tree that a certified arborist or licensed landscape architect documents as a danger, so a hazardous tree is a case to raise with the Village first.

How much does tree and stump removal cost in Palm Springs?

We publish one price: a Bobcat T740 with a 60-inch grapple is $1,385 per day with an operator, with no separate Palm Springs rate. One tree and its stump on a village lot is often a short booking, and several trees take a day or more. A free estimate turns your lot into a day count before anything is written down.

Do you pull the stump or grind it?

We pull stumps whole with the grapple, then backfill and grade the hole. Pulling takes the root ball out instead of leaving a grinder pit and chips, which matters if you plan to pour, fence or plant on the spot.

Does my condo association need to approve a tree removal in Palm Springs?

Usually, yes. In association-governed communities such as Lake Clarke Gardens and Lakeside Village Condominiums, the board commonly wants written approval for tree and vegetation work that is visible from outside a unit, and that is a separate step from the Village. We ask which reality applies to your address on the first call, before a machine is booked.

What if there is a gopher tortoise burrow on the lot?

Gopher tortoises and their burrows are protected under Florida law, and a burrow has to be handled through the state wildlife agency's permitting process before a machine works near it. If we find one on your parcel we stop, tell you, and do not disturb it. An active bird nest is also protected, so we look at a canopy before it is cut.

Who owns the canals and swales near my Palm Springs lot?

Canals in this part of the county typically belong to the Lake Worth Drainage District, with the Village handling local stormwater. A canal bank, swale or easement is infrastructure, not spare yard, so we confirm who owns what at your address before the machine goes near it.
