Tree and stump removal in Greenacres is a tight-lot job: a dead oak over a carport, a Brazilian pepper thicket behind a fence, a row of old stumps on a vacant parcel. We drop the tree, then pull the stump whole with a Bobcat T740 and a 60" grapple, $1,385/day with an operator. Estimates are free.

Trees and Stumps on a Greenacres Lot

Most Greenacres calls start with a single problem tree, not a clearing job. The city is built out, with more than 17,000 homes across single-family streets, villas, townhomes and condo communities, so the lot in front of us is usually small, fenced and close to a neighbour. That shapes how we work: we take the tree down in sections where there is no room to fell it, keep the machine on the narrowest line that reaches the stump, and pull the stump whole with the grapple instead of leaving a grinder pit and a pile of chips to deal with.

The machine is a Bobcat T740 compact track loader with a 60" grapple, $1,385 a day with an operator, the same rate quoted everywhere on this site, with no Greenacres surcharge. A single stump is often a short booking and a row of them is a day or more; the free estimate counts the days for your lot, not a table. (561) 779-3213.

The Greenacres Tree Jobs We See
Four kinds of call, and naming yours when you phone turns "can you take out a tree" into a real number and a real day.
1 · The tree that is too close
An oak, ficus or royal poinciana whose roots are lifting a driveway or a slab, or whose limbs hang over a roof. Out in sections, stump pulled so the ground can be repaired.
2 · Brazilian pepper and brush behind a fence
Pepper, palmetto and volunteer trees that took over a back lot or a canal-side strip. The grapple clears it and loads it out in one pass.
3 · Storm-damaged trees
Limbs and whole trees down after a hurricane or a squall line. We cut, grapple and haul, and flag anything near a power line for the utility first.
4 · Old stumps on a vacant parcel
A parcel with a field of stumps from a previous clearing that has to be level before anyone builds or fences. Pulled whole, holes filled and graded.
The Permit Question in Greenacres

Greenacres is an incorporated city with its own Development & Neighborhood Services Building Division at City Hall, 5800 Melaleuca Lane, and its own ePermit portal, separate from unincorporated Palm Beach County. Whether a given tree needs a City tree-removal permit depends on the tree, the lot and what is being built, so we do not guess: before we book a removal we confirm with the City whether a permit applies to your address, and a dead or hazardous tree is a case to raise with them first. Palm Beach County is a separate desk, and it is the one that governs unincorporated Loxahatchee and The Acreage.

Two protections apply on any lot, whatever the City says. A gopher tortoise burrow is protected under Florida law, and the burrow has to be dealt with under the state wildlife agency's permitting process before any machine works near it; if a burrow shows up on a vacant Greenacres parcel we stop and say so. An active bird nest is also protected, which is one reason we look at a canopy before it is cut. If your property is in a condo or HOA community such as Cresthaven, Lucerne Lakes, Sherwood Lakes, Covered Bridge or Palm Beach Villas, the association usually wants to approve a removal as well, a separate step from the City.

Drainage and Where the Debris Goes

A stump hole near a swale, a lake edge or a canal bank is a drainage question as well as a tree question. The canals in this part of the county typically belong to the Lake Worth Drainage District, with the City and the county handling local stormwater, and a culvert or easement is infrastructure, not spare yard. We confirm which body owns what at your lot before the machine goes near it, and we backfill and shape the hole so it sheds water instead of holding it.

Debris leaves the lot with us unless you want the wood kept. The grapple loads trunks and stumps straight onto the truck, so a Greenacres street does not sit with a pile at the curb. Tell us when you call if you want logs left for firewood or the lot left clean.

Where We Work in Greenacres

We work across the city, from the older streets near the core to Cresthaven, Lucerne Lakes, Lucerne Park, Sherwood Lakes, Springhill and Covered Bridge, and out to Royal Palm Estates and the Pawleys Plantation area toward the western edge. Our yard is at 16140 Okeechobee Blvd in Loxahatchee, and the T740 travels to the job on its own trailer. For clearing a whole lot rather than a few trees, see our Greenacres land clearing page.

Credentials

Bell Land Services works under Bell Engineering and Construction Corporation, operating continuously since February 2009 and holding Florida Certified General Contractor CGC1528750, a state certification, and an EPA Lead-Safe Certified Firm (#NAT-F122701-2). BBB A+ Accredited Business. Every job carries a written one-year workmanship warranty. We have no confirmed named Greenacres tree project to point to, and we would rather say so than dress one up; the credentials above are what we can put in front of you, and the estimate is where they get tested against your actual lot.

Also in Greenacres

After the trees are gone, the next call is usually one of four. If the cleared yard now shows what the roof or windows look like, we build and re-roof through the City permit desk: contracting in Greenacres. A re-roof on its own is covered at roofing in Greenacres. Condo, villa and townhome boards that need the fallen-tree problem handled by someone who manages the association side too will find property management in Greenacres. And when the work is done and the crew wants lunch, the AMERICA food truck in Greenacres caters events.

Tree and Stump Removal in Greenacres — FAQ

Do I need a permit to remove a tree in Greenacres?

It depends on the tree and the lot. Greenacres is an incorporated city with its own Development & Neighborhood Services Building Division at 5800 Melaleuca Lane, separate from Palm Beach County, and we confirm with the City whether a tree-removal permit applies to your address before we book. If your home is in an HOA or condo community, the association usually has its own approval step as well.

How much does tree and stump removal cost in Greenacres?

We publish one price: a Bobcat T740 with a 60-inch grapple is $1,385 per day with an operator, with no separate Greenacres rate. A single stump is often a short booking and several stumps take a day or more. A free estimate turns your lot into a day count before anything is written down.

Do you pull the stump or grind it?

We pull stumps whole with the grapple on the T740, then backfill and grade the hole. Pulling takes the root ball out instead of leaving a grinder pit and chips, which matters if you plan to build, fence or plant on the spot.

What if there is a gopher tortoise burrow on the lot?

Gopher tortoises and their burrows are protected under Florida law, and a burrow has to be handled through the state wildlife agency's permitting process before a machine works near it. If we find one on your parcel we stop, tell you, and do not disturb it.

Can you work on a small, fenced Greenacres lot?

Yes. Most Greenacres lots are built-out suburban lots, so we take trees down in sections when there is no room to fell them and keep the machine on the narrowest line that reaches the stump. Tell us about gate width and fence runs when you call.

Who owns the canals and swales near my Greenacres lot?

This part of the county is typically served by the Lake Worth Drainage District, with the City and the county handling local stormwater. A culvert or easement is infrastructure, so we confirm who owns what at your address before the machine goes near it.
