Fill dirt and excavation in Jupiter, from Town lots near the Loxahatchee River to acre-plus parcels in Jupiter Farms: we raise low ground, level a pad and dig to depth, with the permit desk and drainage district checked first. Bobcat T740 with a 60" grapple, $1,385/day with an operator. Estimates are free.
Jupiter is sandy pine-flatwoods ground, and from roughly June through October the water table can sit close to the surface, especially on the western side. That decides what a lot can do. A pad that sits an inch too low holds water against a slab, and a drive or paddock that is not shaped puddles after the first big storm. Fill and excavation are two directions of one job: bring ground up where it is too low, or cut it down where a footing, a drain or a driveway base has to go. We run both with one machine, the Bobcat T740 and its 60-inch grapple, at $1,385 a day with an operator.
Tell us the address and what the ground has to do when we are finished, and the free estimate works out the days. (561) 779-3213.
We publish the machine rate, not a per-yard or per-ton price for material. The day rate covers the T740 and an operator pushing, spreading and leveling. The fill itself is delivered by the load and priced by whoever supplies it, and it depends on how many loads your lot takes, so for material the honest answer is to call for a quote instead of a number that would be wrong next week. Fill is also not topsoil: fill is what you build up and compact under a pad, a drive or a slab, and topsoil is what you plant in once the ground is at final height. Most Jupiter lots need fill first and, if you are planting, a thin layer of something better last.
The Town of Jupiter, which covers Abacoa, the coastal streets and the gated communities along the river, has its own Building Department at 210 Military Trail and its own vegetation rules in Chapter 26 of the Town Code. Jupiter Farms is not in the Town at all; it is unincorporated Palm Beach County. Moving soil is not regulated like clearing brush, because grading, filling and changing drainage can draw a separate review, and we do not guess whether a given pad needs its own permit or rides in with a building permit. That is a determination by whichever desk covers your parcel, and we confirm it before the machine is booked. If the lot still has vegetation on it, our Jupiter land clearing page covers what comes off first.
Near the water there is a third question. Oceanfront lots and some homes along the Loxahatchee River can fall under the state's Coastal Construction Control Line provisions, which add engineering requirements to work that changes the ground. We check the address against the line before we quote a dig or a fill there.
Jupiter Farms, Palm Beach Country Estates and Egret Landing sit inside the South Indian River Water Control District, which keeps the swales, canals and culverts that serve the roads there. A culvert under a driveway is the only bridge between the road and the lot, and every load of fill crosses it, so we plan the trailer route and protect the culvert before the truck is booked. Filling or driving equipment across a District easement generally needs the District's permission in its own right. Inside the Town, drainage runs through the Town's stormwater system rather than an improvement district.
Fill that raises a lot changes where its water goes: a higher pad can send runoff toward a neighbour, a road or a swale. Before the first load is spread we walk the lot for the things fill can hurt, such as a swale or culvert at the edge, a drain line, or a well or septic drainfield on a Jupiter Farms parcel. Every dig starts with a free Sunshine 811 utility locate.
In the Town, Abacoa and gated communities such as Jonathan's Landing and Admirals Cove run their own boards, and many want to review a raised pad or any visible change to a lot; a Town permit does not clear the board and a board approval does not clear the Town. Jupiter Farms has a far lighter association layer, and the constraint out there is the county and the District. Wet-season ground rutted by a loaded truck is a repair that outlasts the job, so on a saturated Jupiter Farms lot waiting a dry week is sometimes the right call, and we will say so. Once the ground is filled and set, Bobcat grading in Jupiter shapes it for drainage. See Bobcat grading in Jupiter.
Bell Land Services works under Bell Engineering and Construction Corporation, operating continuously since February 2009 and holding Florida Certified General Contractor CGC1528750, a state certification, and an EPA Lead-Safe Certified Firm (#NAT-F122701-2). We also hold a Jupiter Business Tax Receipt, which is a local business tax registration and not a contractor licence. BBB A+ Accredited Business. Every job carries a written one-year workmanship warranty. We have no confirmed named Jupiter fill project to point to, and we would rather say so than dress one up; the estimate is where these credentials get tested against your actual lot.

A filled and graded Jupiter lot rarely ends there. The next stop is usually the building itself (construction in Jupiter), the roof over it (roofing in Jupiter), an association that has to approve the change (property management in Jupiter), or food for the crew and the open house afterwards (food truck catering in Jupiter).
The Bobcat T740 with a 60-inch grapple is $1,385 a day with an operator, with no separate Jupiter rate. The fill material itself is delivered by the load and priced by the supplier, so call for a quote on material. How many days and how many loads your lot needs is worked out in the free estimate.
It can. Jupiter is an incorporated Town with its own Building Department at 210 Military Trail, and grading, filling and changing drainage can draw a review that simple clearing does not. Jupiter Farms is unincorporated Palm Beach County and answers to the county instead. We confirm which desk covers your parcel, and what it says, before the machine is booked.
Jupiter Farms, Palm Beach Country Estates and Egret Landing sit inside the South Indian River Water Control District, which maintains the swales, canals and culverts there. Clearing, filling or driving equipment across a District easement generally needs the District's permission in its own right. Inside the Town of Jupiter, drainage runs through the Town's own stormwater system.
Jupiter sits on sandy flatwoods ground with a wet-season water table that can sit close to the surface from roughly June through October. Fill raises a pad, a drive or a barn floor above that water so it does not hold moisture against a slab. Because a higher pad also changes where runoff goes, the Town or the District looks at it.
Often, yes. Oceanfront lots and some homes along the Loxahatchee River can fall under the state's Coastal Construction Control Line provisions, which add engineering requirements to work that changes the ground. We check your address against the line before we quote any dig or fill near the water.
Yes. Every excavation starts with a free Sunshine 811 utility locate so buried power, water and cable are marked before the bucket goes in. On Jupiter Farms parcels we also keep the machine clear of a well or septic drainfield, because a compacted drainfield is a repair nobody wants.
