Demolition · Royal Palm Beach, FL
Need a demolition contractor in Royal Palm Beach, FL? A Florida State-Certified General Contractor pulls the Village of Royal Palm Beach permit, checks for asbestos and lead before anything comes down, and plans the haul-off around your driveway, swale and gate. The only Palm Beach County contractor who is also a certified energy engineer — the owner inspects every job.
What We Take Down
Why Royal Palm Beach Is Different
Royal Palm Beach is an incorporated village with its own Building Division at Village Hall on Royal Palm Beach Boulevard. A demolition permit here is a Village permit: it is not issued by the Palm Beach County Building Division, and it is not the Wellington process a few miles west. Utilities are disconnected and confirmed first, the permit is finaled at the end, and only then can a rebuild permit move on the same parcel. We hold the permit as the licensed contractor and run that sequence so you are not chasing it.
The parcels are mostly residential lots rather than raw acreage. The original Colony section, The Willows and La Mancha date from the 1960s through the 1980s, which puts many of those homes on the pre-1978 side of the federal lead-paint line, so an asbestos survey and lead-safe work practices come first, and our EPA Lead-Safe Certified Firm status (#NAT-F122701-2) covers the second. Madison Green and the later gated communities, Portosol, Victoria Grove, Bella Terra and Nautica, are 2000s construction, where the question shifts from hazardous materials to gates, association rules and where a dumpster can sit.
Staging and Haul-Off
On a village lot, the haul-off is half the planning. Before the permit goes in we look at the driveway apron, the swale and the street, where a roll-off can stand without blocking a neighbour, and, inside a gated community, how a truck gets through the gate and when work is allowed. Concrete and masonry are separated from wood-frame and mixed debris because they are weighed and tipped differently. Royal Palm Beach is inside the Florida Building Code’s Wind-Borne Debris Region, so in storm season a half-demolished structure is a loose-debris risk, and that belongs in the schedule conversation.
If the lot is going to be cleared and graded after the structure is gone, our land division runs a Bobcat T740 with grapple, so the teardown and the site work are one hand-off rather than two mobilisations. For a rebuild, see new home construction and construction in Royal Palm Beach.
Proof, Not Claims
We have no owner-confirmed demolition project in Royal Palm Beach, and we would rather say so than borrow one. Our confirmed work in the village is concrete and roof repair at Greenway Village, a carport beam and built-up roof rebuild in 2025 and a resident walkway panel replacement, written up on our concrete restoration page. What stands behind a demolition job is the credential stack: Florida State-Certified General Contractor CGC1528750, which lets Randolph Scott Bell contract in any Florida county, an EPA Lead-Safe Certified Firm (#NAT-F122701-2), the Village of Royal Palm Beach Business Tax Receipt (a local tax registration, not a licence), BBB A+ accreditation, and a written one-year workmanship warranty on every job.

Questions, Answered
Royal Palm Beach is an incorporated village with its own Building Division at Village Hall, 1050 Royal Palm Beach Boulevard, so a demolition permit for a house, shed or addition comes from the Village, not from the Palm Beach County Building Division and not from neighbouring Wellington. Utilities have to be disconnected and confirmed before the structure comes down. We pull the permit under our Florida State-Certified General Contractor licence, CGC1528750, and carry it through to close-out. The Village sets its own review times, so we do not promise a date.
Plan on it. Florida expects an asbestos survey before most demolition and renovation, and any home built before 1978 can carry lead paint. Much of the original Colony section, The Willows and La Mancha was built out in the 1960s through the 1980s, so those homes sit on both sides of that line, while Madison Green and the newer gated communities are 2000s construction. We are an EPA Lead-Safe Certified Firm (#NAT-F122701-2), and where a survey calls for it we coordinate licensed abatement before a wall comes down.
Yes. Selective demolition, such as a wall, a lanai, a room or a roof section, is common on Royal Palm Beach lots where the house stays and something new is tied in. We remove what the plan calls for, protect what stays, and, because we are also a general contractor and a roofer, plan the demolition around the rebuild so one team hands off to the next.
Time and logistics more than method. In the gated communities, such as Madison Green, Portosol, Victoria Grove, Bella Terra and Nautica, you will usually want the community's architectural review and any gate, dumpster and work-hours rules settled before the Village permit is issued, so the crew is not waiting at a gate. Ask your association what it requires; we will work from that list.
The demolition permit generally has to be finaled, including the utility disconnects, before a permit for new construction on the same site is issued. Because we hold the GC licence for both phases, we manage that sequence so the rebuild application is not waiting on demolition paperwork. If the lot needs clearing or grading first, our land division runs a Bobcat T740 with grapple for site prep.
There is no honest flat rate. Scope (selective or whole structure), the age of the home, permit and disconnect timing, how much debris leaves and in what mix, and how a truck and dumpster reach the structure all move the number.
